Jay Major

Jay Scott Major, 66, of Rocky Mount, N.C., passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at the Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount following a brief illness.

Born in Palatka April 21, 1942, to the late Rev. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kendrick Major and Meredith Major, both of Palatka.

Left to cherish Jay's memory are his wife of 41 years, Judy Hendrix Major of Rocky Mount, a son, Judson Bryant Major and wife, Amy, also of Rocky Mount; a daughter, Janna Major Scott and husband, Mark, of Seattle, WA; a sister Nannette Major Sibley of Jackson, MS; and four grandchildren, Jacob Bryant Major, Holden Brantley Major, ruby Hudson Scott and Anderson Jay Scott.

Classmates Remember

Jay was a good friend and a good classmate.  It was good to have seen him in 2005 at the 45th Reunion.
